5 Best Places to Visit in Spring

Spring is hands down my favorite season of the year. It’s the first reprieve from a cold winter, it’s when my birthday is, and its an amazing time to travel. The weather in most places is starting to warm up, flowers are blooming, and trees are growing new leaves after long winters. I have always loved travelling in the Spring because its less crowded than summer time and not as warm in most places. If you are looking for the perfect spring visit, definitely try to make it to one of these 5 great places!

Geneva

Geneva is the best cities that I have ever visited. It is beautiful, serene, and has so many interesting things to do. There are hundreds of hidden gems throughout the city, and spring is the perfect time of year to visit them. Keep in mind that Geneva is definitely one of those spring destinations that you still want to pack a coat because it can still be a bit cold in spring. Aside from the slight chill, the weather in Geneva is beautiful in spring. The flowers are blooming, there are a bunch of parks to explore, and the Lake is beyond beautiful. Geneva should be at the top of our spring travel itinerary!

Hawaii

To be honest, any time of year is a great time to visit Hawaii, but I went in the Spring and loved it so that’s why I picked it for this list. Hawaii, especially the big island where I was, is breathtakingly beautiful. You can find everything from beautiful hikes to insane snorkeling to cool caves to explore all in one place. The weather is absurdly good in the spring time with moderate temperatures, low chances of rain and low humidity. You also stand a better chance of scoring cheap flights (I paid less than $400) because less people want to travel during the spring.

New York City

Before moving to New York City last summer, I had visited several times during different seasons. Between those visits and living here for the last 8 months, I can genuinely say that New York City is one of the best places to visit in spring. Spring is the start of brunch season(it’s a thing) and a good time to enjoy rooftop bars before they get too crowded during the summer. The weather in spring can be a bit unpredictable, but you can count on it not being too hot and much lower chances of freezing temps. If you come toward the beginning of Spring, you can also see beautiful Cherry Blossoms in Central Park that rival the National Cherry Blossom Festival in DC.

Paris

There is nothing quite as a magical as Paris in spring. The flowers have just begun to bloom, the weather is starting to warm up, and everything just feels refreshed. The other bonus? It’s not near as crowded as it is during peak season in the summer! I have visited in both spring and summer, and let me just say that spring is the superior season. You can enjoy sitting outside at cafes, wandering the gardens at the Palace of Versailles and just generally enjoy some beautiful weather. Without a doubt, Paris is one of the best places to visit in spring!

Savannah

Savannah, Georgia is a beautiful little city with the perfect combination of history and southern charm. Nestled near the coast of Georgia, Savannah is home to amazing brunch spots, beautiful weather, and some of the most interesting ghost stories I have heard. Being in the south, Savannah can get quite warm throughout the year making Spring the ideal time to visit. During the springtime, you can enjoy the beauty of Forsyth Park and being able to eat outside at restaurants. You also don’t have to worry much about it getting too cold at night. It’s also the perfect place and time of year to capture some cute pictures for your Instagram! Spring in Savannah is the best and no one can convince me otherwise!

Anyone else feel the urge to book a vacation right now? Hopefully this can help you narrow down where you are going! Now to start planning my spring travels for next year. Where are you off to next?

From one Misguided Millennial to the world, I hope your spring travels are fun and stress-free!
